Overview

An area of research we are exploring is growing new blood vessels to treat PAD patients with our drug candidate CVBT-141C. Pre-clinical trials have shown that CVBT-141C may improve blood supply to the legs and feet to decrease pain and prevent tissue loss. Animal efficacy studies with our drug candidate in a rabbit model of PAD demonstrated that it increased iliac artery blood flow, collateral vessel density and microvascular development in the legs of the treated animals.

The FDA has reviewed the protocol for a Phase I clinical study in PAD patients and has allowed the clinical trial to proceed
