3 Million Patients Suffer From Hypertensive Renal Disease

Hypertensive renal disease results from the blockage of arteries supplying the kidneys. In animal models of ischemic kidney disease, FGF-1141 has been shown to stimulate new blood flow, resulting in an increased perfusion of the kidneys, and a decrease in the ischemic injury. There is no therapy at present that will reverse this disease. However, since the kidney is a complex organ, CVBT will take a cautious approach to treating renal disease.
